The oldest market in Paris is Marche des Enfants Rouge which opened in 1604 and was opened to sell goods to fund the orphanage next door! Its my favorite lunch time spot in Paris and I'm there every day I'm in town! Provence: La Bastide Rose - A beautiful setting right on a river in a 17th century home!
This place is fantastic! Only 25 minutes from Avignon this Boutique Hotel is set right on the Le Sorgue river in Provence, many consider the most beautiful area in France! Wine, Lavender, Great food and beautiful rolling hills and forests are all around! The house was built in the 1700s and is owned and run by the widow of Pierre Salinger, JFK's press secretary. If you are headed to southern France, there's no reason to stay anyplace else!

I first visited Florence in 2010 and fell in love! It's a big city but nothing like Rome or Naples. It has a small city feel with great energy! The food is incredible and the people are wonderful!

Annecy is only a 3 hour train ride from Paris and a great place to stay while you explore the Savoie Region! You can take day trips to Geneva and Yvoire easily from Annecy. The beautiful "Old City" is the place to stay and I found an incredible AirBnB right on the canal in the city centre!

I fell in love with this place when I found it online, and it exceeded every expectation I had!
. Founded in the 7th century, the Romanesque San Donato Church sits in the main square with standing Roman pillars!
It is about 120 kilometres (75 mi) north of Rome and 90 miles south of Florence!
Many go as a day trip but I highly recommend spending at least one night there!
The place I stayed was outrageous and I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
